Bildt and Patten most serious candidates for status mediators

Koha Ditore writes on the front page that the list of candidates for the Kosovo’s status mediator is becoming shorter.

The paper quotes its sources as saying that due to Ahtisaari’s age and Robertson’s refusal, former Swedish Prime Minister Karl Bildt remains a serious candidate, and former EU commissioner, Chris Patten has good chances.

The paper’s sources inform that this issue was a topic of discussion in a recent meeting between German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder and Serbian President Boris Tadic in Berlin.
