Koha Ditore reports that the Swiss Parliament has debated about Kosovo after their Ambassador Peter Maurer mentioned in the recent UN Security the word ‘independence’ for Kosovo. The parliament has assessed that a series of standards and preconditions need to be met before launching status talks.
The paper reports that mentioning of independence was news and has broken a taboo.
According to Peter Briner, the head of Parliamentary Commission, the independence of Kosovo is no longer a taboo.
