The Belgrade-based Blic daily newspaper reported that the European Union is seeking a solution for the status of Kosovo which will be some kind of conditional independence. This solution, according to the paper, will be imposed on Belgrade and Pristina, but Kosovo will not be a real state even if it achieves independence from Belgrade, because its sovereignty will be limited by the international community.
Citing sources close to EU High Representative Javier Solana, Blic also wrote that the Finnish diplomat Martti Ahtisaari, ‘who will lead talks on final status, will have three assistants: US representative Mark Grossman, EU representative Stefan Lehne and Russian representative Vladimir Chizov.

And it matters how what EU thinks?, please, since when does the US giva a shit about what Solana thinks. Kosova will have full independence and some serbs posting here will cry a bit and then just realize that in the end thats the best solution!
Thanx ya all!
BERLIN
We don't need to be under any international monitoring any longer. Those UN people have stolen enough from Kosovo; it's time for Kosova people to have what they deserve.
THAT IS NOTHING THAT GOING NOWHERE
waht is thisconditional indep: Solana is try to have an experment with the people what hi thing Hi is thinking of his idea came from the age that hi was never borne and we know that that i has to understand WHY HE HAS THE RIGHT TO BE FREE?
WHAT RIGHT HE GOT AND FROM WHERE HE LIKE TO EXPERIMENT WHICH IT'S DESTINY IS DESTINE TO FAIL.
told you. conditional independence means you get nada. more of the same. occupation. the international community knows you have no civil or political maturity. you are a narco terrorist society that needs to be taught the laws of a civil society.
that may take generations.
The above coming from a Serb who's father and uncle is doing jail time in Hague for commiting crime against humanity.
My father recently died of lung cancer and was laid to rest in his native North Carolina. I realize this is difficult for you to believe. For some reason, you cannot fathom that Americans do not support a majority muslim peoples who have turned their streets in the heart of Europe into the gaza strip. Believe it.
Above blogger, sorry about your father. I am an American, but I may be one of the few people of any nationality who has been to both Gaza and Kosovo. Kosovo is not Gaza--not even close. Kosovo is safer, Kosovars are friendlier, Kosovars are overwhelmingly pro-American and Palestinians are overwhelmngly anti-American. Many, perhaps most, Palestinians support Muslim extremism while few Kosovars are practicing Muslims at all, much less supporters of Islamist terrorism. Hundreds of Palestinians have been captured in Afghanistan and Iraq with some being held at Guantanamo while no Kosovars are at Guantanamo and I know of none that have been identified as fighting for Al Qaeda.
Those in the USA that know the history of what has happened in Kosovo support Kosovar independence. Perhaps that may only be feasible initially as conditional independence, but that's just a temporary phase.
God bless that SC dude father's soul. Amin!
North Carolina man...bless his soul...
"you are a narco terrorist society that needs to be taught the laws of a civil society."
Typical Serb supremacist remark. You really think you're the chosen nation do you? Sorry to break it to you but the Hebrews are, it ain't the Serbs.
Serbs know the laws of "civil society" the thing is for them civil society is ethnic cleansing and genocide, and the only society that deserves civil rights is their own, while others remain under their grip and terrorism.
"Those in the USA that know the history of what has happened in Kosovo support Kosovar independence. Perhaps that may only be feasible initially as conditional independence, but that's just a temporary phase.
Wishful thinking on your part. The US is pretty evenly politically divided these days. The war in Iraq has highlighted how wrong-headed we were in attacking a sovereign nation that was no threat to our security. More has come to light regarding the lies we were told to step in on behalf of a majority muslim terrorist group called the KLA. Since 9/11, our eyes have been opened to more than you will admit.
AS for Gaza and Pristina, the hatred of 'others' abounds in both. We didn't risk american lives for kosovar albanians to kill minorities and one another with impunity. And as for albanians joining Al Qaeda, oh yes, there have been footsoldiers of albanians decent joining. It is in the press. It cannot be denied.
"one of the oldest people in the world" hahahahahahah only a stupid insecure sheep fucker could say something as moronic as that, as if ALL the people of the world are not desending from "the oldest people in the world". dude show ME SHOW ONE THREAD OF EVIDENCE THAT SHOWS EVEN AN A IN ALBANIA FROM THE ILLIRIAN CULTURE (and dont give me the albanoi tribe bullshit caue if u are basing ur argument on that i can point the baku and azeri albania where u really came from). show ur "albanian and illirian connection" culture, art, monuments etc etc etc that were from the illirian times, show me when was the first time that the word ALBANIAN WAS USED - IT WAS IN THE 12th CENTURY!!! not 4, 10 or 20 thousand years ago. it is a know fact that all of the people of the balkans share common ansestors, now that fact that the albos have no culture and nothing of their own to be proud of is another issue. SHOW ME ONE, JUST ONE ALBANIAN SOURCE PRIOR TO THE 19TH CENTURY THAT CLAIMS U ARE THE ILLIRIANS??????!?!?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHAH U WILL NEVER FIND ONE!! NEVER!!! u guys started to lay cliam to that thoery in the 19th cent. after u saw the croats and serbs doing so as well. be original for once. and for ur info there are many muslim serbs in sandjak and bosnia and catholic serbs in dalmatia, and guess waht they were traitors just like u guys were to ur christian faith. check this out idiota:
Continuity in Balkans
Despite the multiethnic nature of the Balkans, it seems that most inhabitants of the peninsula share common ancestors. Scientists feel that we will have a better picture of these ethnic trajectories within the next several years. The genetic marker M170 appears to have come from the Middle East to the Balkan region roughly 20,000 years ago. It seems today that this marker is unique to the Balkans area, though research suggests that about 80% of European genetic stock goes back to Paleolithic period.

"Typical Serb supremacist remark."
Serbs aren't supremacists. They have just had to live near or with Albanians for a very long time and they KNOW what that is like only too well.
"And it matters how what EU thinks?"
What an idiotic statement. You would cut your mother's throat if she didn't give you what you want. You will kill Americans if you don't get your independence too. No wonder you are an occupied nation.
10:22, what press? show us sources, pictures, witnesses.
open your mind man, come visit kosova or something. stop getting high on left wing bs.
the truth of the matter is that so far there have been more Al-Qaeda Americans. Lindh for ex. was of Jewish descent. I wonder if American foreign policy towards Israel will change because of that.
I invite all the bloggers to ignore Serbs posing and speaking in the name of Americans. USA and NATO showed they true self in the bombing of Serbia, championing freedom and human rights. Never mind the shitheads who were watching "Wag the Dog" 24/7 in the underground bunkers they were hiding during the NATO intervention.
what press? show us sources, pictures, witnesses.

You are a very confused person who is in denial. Now, how many muslim charities have been closed in Kosovo and Albania proper?
"Perhaps most telling about the minds of those who trained here is a document found at the camp. "I am interested in suicide operations," wrote Damir Bajrami, a 24-year-old ethnic Albanian from Kosovo, on his entry application in April 2001. "I have Kosovo Liberation Army combat experience against Serb and American forces. I need no further training. I recommend (suicide) operations against (amusement) parks like Disney."
http://www.usatoday.com/news/sept11/2001/11/26/cover.htm
So not just any albanian, but one from Kosovo? And how many muslim charities have been closed down in Kosovo and how many new mosques funded by the Saudi's and their muslim friends?
I wonder why the terrorists who bomb Western European countries hide in Serbia? There must be something with that state that attracts these terrorists. Simple the hate that they have against the USA.
Your attempt to paint the Serbs as a threat to the USA is pathetic at best. The Serbs have been fighting muslim terrorists for centuries, including most recently, the KLA and when the find one in their midst, they apprehend them. How many muslim charities have been shut down in Kosovo and Albania to date?

con·di·tion·al ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kn-dsh-nl)
adj.
Imposing, depending on, or containing a condition. See Synonyms at dependent.
You see, conditions will be placed upon the majority kosovar albanians and failure will be imminent because the conditions will involve the return of the displace, return of property, freedom of movement and general tolerance of society. Would be easier for a camel to travel through the eye of a needle.
