Photo of the day: Kosovo and Serbia in key meeting

Senior officials from Kosovo, right, and Serbia, left, meet at the Austrian foreign ministry in Vienna, on Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, to discuss unresolved issues from the 1998-1999 war in an U.N.-backed session, billed as a prelude to talks on the disputed province's political future. At the top of the table is U.N. special envoy Kai Eide, who helped organize the Vienna talks. (AP Photo/Hans Punz)

All the dark ones have last names ending in -vic, and girly names like Slavisa, Sinsisa, Jelena etc etc.

"All the dark ones are Albs"

What is that supposed to mean? I hope it isn't a racist remark.

To the last poster:

Dude that would be funny...

All gypsy looking-like are Serbs :).

Instead of making childish comments one should note that this is the first time both sides have sat down and talk. I would like to see more bloggs about what came out of this meeting that is going to help move the process along. Freedom of expression does allow for racist, ethnically bias comments that are not helping the process along. I pray that this attitude won’t prevail during the negotiations process with the leaders from both sides. The Kosovar people both Serbian and Albanian have suffered enough.

Nenad, well said, and even happier to hear you said it.

I'm Kosovar albanian and I hereby request more Nenads among serbs!

Hello, My name is Darko, also a Serb, and i agree with Nenad. It is about time Serbs and Albanians sat down and talked about problems relating to Kosovo.
Thank you to the bloggers above who also agree with this. People, lets talk about how things could be resolved WITHOUT insults in this forum.
Lets move into the future togeather.

Quiet ironic, hehe, my brothers name is Nenad too :D

My brothers name is Jim, but I too agree with Nenad. I notice the participants are drinking water and orange juice. Don't they know the talks would move faster if they served Raki? Just a few rounds--enough for the participants to start reminiscing about Tito and telling jokes about the Montenegrins. Then they could move on to the heavier topics. It is the Balkans after all.

The albanians are muslim they shouldn't drink rakia, but we know they do.

That was a stupid comment.

It is true.

All dark ones are Albs and all the others with a dick behind their ears are the serbs

See, now with comments like these, it is very hard for us to reconcile and work togeather for a better future for all of us.

Very disappointing from the poster above,

Darko.

Well guys Kosova its getting its Independence from Serbia and serbs should just give up actually they did give up, but they can't say it yet but soon or later they will.

One thing I like to see though I like to see the part of Eastern Kosova to be united with Kosova. Kosova is getting its Independence but I still think about Presheva, Bujanovci, Medvegja, Leskovci, Kosova's borders suppose to be all away to MOLLA e KUQE hope some day we will get that part too.

God Bless Kosova nd its People

serbia is getting weaker and weaker.. Serbs are going to lose its identity, but Albanians are reducing their berth rate each day... albanians have the highest berth rate in Europe so you're wondering what does that mean well In years to come Serbia is going to be 90% Albanian and 5% serbs and other minorities..

that is true its better for serbs to give all the ereas around serbia that are populated with albanian to kosova or its going to have problems in future thats my opinion..\
