Washington will help Kosovo on its path to independence (dailies)

Daily papers report on an article published by Italian Corriere Della Serra which quotes former US Ambassador to UN Richard Holbrooke saying that Washington, inc. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will help Kosovo on its road to reaching independence.

Holbrooke is also quoted as saying that by the end of this summer, a UN envoy will assess whether Kosovo has met the required standards so as to move to the stage of status definition. ‘Belgrade should come to terms with a difficult political step: give up claims on Kosovo. Serbs should choose between joining the EU and the battle for returning Kosovo’, said the US official.

If Belgrade chooses the EU instead of Kosovo, it will have a bright future, said Holbrooke.

Someone who names himself "Martyr" can safely be taken with a grain of salt. And your inane comments only confirm that point.

Holbrooke is a Clinton thug. Newsflash! Clinton admin is powerless. Bush has repeatedly said Kosova(o) is not a priority. Why should the US create more conflict internationally over Kosova? What benefits do we gain out of it?
