Macedonia plans resumption of talks for FTA with Kosovo (dailies)

Zëri reports that the Minister of Economy of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Fatmir Besimi wants to convince Kosovars and UNMIK to sit down again and talk, according to information given by Macedonian Government.

It was said on Tuesday in Skopje, after the regular meeting of the Government, that the Macedonian Government is preparing ‘a soft scenario’ to end the trade war with Kosovo.

According to an official of the Ministry of Trade, it is expected that new negociations will start next week, aiming at the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Kosovo and Macedonia. Last month the negotiations were held in Pristina.

Koha Ditore reports that Kosovo is the most important Trade partner for Macedonia, which has a surplus of 170 million euros.
