Koha Ditore carries an interview with the newly-appointed UN envoy for standards Kai Eide who says that he will look into the standard issue in a more general way and will also comprehensively assess political situation in Kosovo.
‘I want to say there are signs of progress in some fields and there is no doubt about it. We have noted progress in Pristina and some progress in Belgrade too in different fields but especially in the field of dialogue’, said Eide.
He also pointed out it is still too soon to give political views on what would happen in the future. ‘I am at the moment in New York and I am meeting with UN officials to see how to proceed and when to start the work on the ground’, Eide is quoted.
