Minister Haziri: I respect Eide’s statement

In a debate held at the US Institute for Peace, Local Government Minister Lutfi Haziri was quoted as saying, ‘regarding Mr. Eide’s statement that progress is slow in Kosovo then we must acknowledge this and work with more insistence to change this pace’.

Haziri also added that the strategy of the Belgrade Government is hindering the process because they have called on Kosovo Serbs to object to decentralisation. Haziri also said the Kosovo Government would do all in its power to fulfil the tasks required by the international community.

Amazing. A government that acknowledges and respects constructive criticism. Moreover, it takes the criticism productively and moves to correct its errors, truly a rarity in a Balkans where denial is almost habitual.

I'm not surprised that Lutfi is taking this position. I've met Lutfi and once participated in an operation that prevented his assassination. Haziri for PM one day??? I would welcome that.

Ibro, we have a government that responds to criticism with action instead of denial.

Action being media comments or …?

The Kosovar government has responded to international criticism with action, i.e. inviting the Serbians back to Kosova, providing funds for their illegal enclaves (also funded by Belgrade), rebuilding the homes and churches destroyed (something Serbia has yet to do in Kosova), etc.

Serbia responds to its criticism with denial, insisting instead that it is an angelic state of sorts, with no flaws.

11:35 Blogger
yeah Dude tell us more about the action. I bet you even Haziri does not know that you saved his life.

Wow you saved Lutfi's live, great job man. Hey tell us more. . .

Seems like everyone is impressed with the government of Kosova but I just want to add that Eide is wrong, if for nothing else he has a girlie name. We would send the Governator after his sorry ass but I am afraid that blogger 11:35 might undertake an operation to save his life too.

We got all the genius' coming out today.
