Zëri quotes member of the European Parliament, Doris Pack, as saying that the future of Kosovo is in the European Union. ‘Integration in the EU will be impossible without regional cooperation. The times of war are over and now it is time to build. The countries of the Balkans and Kosovo will have the EU’s support in achieving the necessary goals, but no one will do your job. Therefore, your fate is in your hands,’ said Pack.
Lajm quotes Pack as saying that the youth of Kosovo should apply pressure on politicians to move processes forward.

Pack is right...Albanian politicians have never tasted an uprising against them. Hoxha of Albania, Rugova, the pervious "kings" have never truly faced unhappy masses, maybe its time to show them?
Same BS from EU politicians. The future of Kosova is its independence then she can talk about the European Union.
Euros never cease to amaze me. This rhetoric about Kosova'place in EU is getting stale. I understand that a lot of Albanians see EU as the place to be , I see it as anything but. Fact one: If it wasnt for USA there wouldn't be any Albanians in Kosova today. The only reason why EU is even considering conditional independence for Kosova is because USA would recognize Kosova if the EU was set against it, just to show EU who is the boss and especially after Iraq. 'Fact two: EU doesnt want Albanians in EU just because they are muslim and they cheered the massmurder of muslims in Srebrenica. It seems the world forgot how Mitterrand flew to Sarajevo just to block the usa from bombing the serbs also the french bombed the refugee convoys in gjakova just to make NATO look bad. That tells you of the special relationship of Serbia and EU. West Europe has screwed us albanians for a very long time, I think its time we told it, in the words of Dick Cheney,- "Mrs Pack why dont you and EU go fuck yourselves".
Chris as far as I recall there were no mass protests in Albania against the communist government until its collapse. So Hoxha did not taste the wrath of unhappy people.
Mass protests?!!? Hoxha was the poor man's Stalin, dude. Did anyone protest Stalin?
All im saying is that our "leaders" never faced such masses. Hoxha is irrelevant in this discussion I guess but tell me when did we all turn out on Prishtina streets to ask and demand from these "leaders" that they work without their ego coming in the way?
Ok, let's settle one tOk, let's settle one thing once and for all, if any Serb here decides to generalize to such a degree as to say, all Albanains and Kosovars will have a future as human trafficers or drug dealers it will be only fair and just to also state that all Serbs will be murderers, rapists, liers, genocidial-thugs, ethnic cleansers, :) thx for listening fellow Serbs.
I agree with you Chris. The Kosovar politicians have moved one with their approach and the way they deal with the Serbs and the international community to some extent. The negotiations are not going to have the same status they had during the Rambouillet. During that period the Serbs were on pole position whereas the Albanian side were first of all trying to save the people of Kosova from another Balkan genocide.
Although there are differences among our politicians, those differences when it comes to the final status are non existent. Furthermore, this time they are on pole. They have nothing to loose i.e. they are backed by the will of the Kosovar people. Everybody understands that including some of our ill wishers. The worst outcome is some sort of a conditional independence, which will leave space for Serbia to explore it. In other words destabilize the situation and tell the world that we are not able to govern ourselves.
Saying that the best the Kosovar government and the Kosovar people can do is to give an amnesty to the "sleepers" i.e. the Albanians that are on Belgrade payroll. Once given the immunity those Albanians might not be able to give in as much or as easy to the Belgrades blackmail in creating another unrest in Kosova.

Faruki
Keep telling that to yourself and maybe even you will start believing it.
Yeah, that's what all of their history is, lies that they started believing in....
Our fate is in our hands except that our hands are tied behind our backs. That is the definition of rhetoric.
All Serbs can do is have ice-cream while the Kosovar state is established. Now the only issue Serbs can decide is the flavour of that ice-cream, and the size of the serving.
Maybe in Serbia they because in Kosova they cannot afford to the large size ice-cream but hey that is what they got for listening to those fools in Belgrade. I propose we the pople give the Serb girls free scoops of ice-cream because I sure like looking at them they while they lick.
Dude sorry to bust your day but that comment was lame, "watch them lick"? This is not a place to express your deepest ice-cream related fantasies, there are other places for that.
Ice-cream for Serbia! Now!!!!
Looks like the greek blogger's posts have been removed by the owner of this site; i just wanted to clarify that my comment
'Keep telling that to yourself and maybe even you will start believing it'
was not meant at Faruki's comment, but at the aforementioned greek one's.
In the midst of the riddiculous comments expressed here I feel like people need to know about the ice-cream licking habits of the people in Balkans. . . you guys need to appreciate the fact that cultural anthropology is in the house.
But hey keep feuding as if you are going to resolve anything by expressing your opinons on a blogg.
