Based on its sources, Express reports that UNMIK has mentioned creation of the Ministry of Justice and Interior Ministry in recommendations sent to UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations as part of the transfer of responsibilities to Kosovo institutions, before and after the solution of the status.
The paper reports that not long ago, a working group with representatives from four pillars, was set up within UNMK to prepare this draft. UNMIK’s spokesperson, Neeraj Singh confirmed for the paper that the draft with recommendations about responsibilities in the area of police and justice has already been sent to New York.
According to the paper UNMIK believes that at least one of these two ministries will be created before the final comprehensive review of the Standards Implementation takes place.
Details of the draft will be known only after it has been returned from New York.
