Stability Pact Coordinator urges Kosovo Serbs to return to institutions

Excerpt from report by Kosovo Albanian television KohaVision TV on 4 May

[Announcer] Talks on Kosova's [Kosovo's] final status should begin this year, the coordinator of the Stability Pact for South-East Europe, Erhard Busek, has said. He made these comments after meeting Prime Minister Bajram Kosumi. Busek also met the Serb deputy Oliver Ivanovic and Kosova Speaker Nexhat Daci.

[Passage omitted: talks with Kosumi - already covered]

Busek and the Serb deputy Oliver Ivanovic discussed security, decentralisation and the return of Serbs to Kosova institutions. Busek said that the decentralisation process is very important for Kosova and promised the support of the Stability Pact in this process. He asked the Serb deputies to return to the Kosova institutions since they can only resolve their problems through institutions.

[Oliver Ivanovic, speaking in Serbian with superimposed Albanian translation] We may return to the Kosova institutions during the session of 19 May if the decentralisation process is discussed. We are also awaiting the decision of the Stability Pact on this issue.

[Reporter] Stability Pact Coordinator for South-East Europe Erhard Busek also met Kosova Speaker Nexhat Daci. After the meeting Daci did not address the media.
