Kosovo government backs probe into Malisevo mass grave

Text of unattributed report entitled "Kosovo government encourages investigations into mass grave discovered in Malisevo" published by the Kosovo Albanian newspaper Koha Ditore on 17 May

Prishtina [Pristina], 16 May: Following reports on the discovery of a mass grave in Malisheve [Malisevo], the Kosova [Kosovo] Government said on Monday [ 16 May] that is has been carefully following the case and the identification of the remains found there.

"On this occasion, the Kosova Government encourages further work by forensic experts in shedding light on the case and identifying the remains of all the bodies found there. This will help resolve the fate of missing persons in Kosova," the government said in a statement.

According to the statement, "To this end, the Kosova Government will be fully and constantly focused through commissions and working groups on the missing persons, so that the process of solving the mystery of all those who have been missing since the time of the war in Kosova is successfully solved."
