Prishtina [Pristina], 8 April: A joint UNMIK [UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo] and government delegation will visit the Republic of Montenegro between 9 and 11 April, the UN mission officials reported today in Prishtina.

The purpose of this visit is to encourage the refugees to return home.

The delegation consists of Local Government Minister Lutfi Haziri, Return and Communities Minister Slavisa Petkovic, and Kilian Kleinschmidt from the UNMIK Office of Returns and Communities [ORC].

The delegation will have meetings with the Ministry of Work and Social Welfare of Montenegro and the Republican Commissariat for Refugees to discuss the situation of Kosova [Kosovo] refugees living there.

On Sunday [10 April], the delegation will visit the refugees collective centres in Berane town, and Konik near Podgorica.

This is the first visit of this kind, which includes the Kosova government representatives.

One week ago, head of UNMIK Soeren Jessen-Petersen visited the collective shelter centres in Bujanoc [Bujanovac], southern Serbia.
