List of options for Kosovo’s status is reduced (Zeri)

Zeri quotes unnamed Western diplomats as saying that there is international agreement on three principles before the resolution of Kosovo’s status: no return to pre-1999 situation, no partition and Kosovo cannot join Albania or other territories inhabited by Albanians.

The paper claims that Russian diplomat Vladimir Cizov has told officials in Belgrade that the independence of Kosovo is one of the options for final status. Cizov also told Albanian politicians in Kosovo they should understand that independence is not the only option on the table.
