Kosovo assembly to pass independence resolution "next week"

Text of report in English by independent internet news agency KosovaLive

Prishtina [Pristina], 3 October: Kosova [Kosovo] Assembly members decided today that the parliament should convene by the end of next week in a special session to approve the resolution for an independent and sovereign state, which will be drafted together by the parliamentary groups.

The PDK [Democratic Party of Kosovo] has initiated the resolution. The PDK insisted the parliament to reconfirm the will of the people of Kosova for a sovereign and independent state through a resolution.

After the debates, the chiefs of the five largest parliamentary groups decided to prepare together with chiefs of the Commissions for legal affairs, legislation and constitutional framework to harmonize the resolution in one week time.

that's right, inflame the blood thirsty albanians of kosovo -- encourage them to turn their backs on the international community that saved their stupid asses in 99---that's right...way to go.

This is the right way to go make sure the blood thirsty Serbians know there is no going back, the only ones who they can repress now are those who live in Vojvodina. Great Serbia is over.

Yep, Serbija je propala.

I think this resolution is just going to reaffirm what everyone knows, I think it's needed just so Serbian politicians understand that there is no compromise on indipendence for Kosovo.

I always read these blog comments with great interest, living in the UK as I do and taking an interest in Balkan matters. The petty nastiness of some of the writers is unbelievable and also the complete disregard for what has been internationally indentified as being part of history. The Serb treatment of Albanians in Kosova prior to the war is well documented and it is no surprise that after a decade of peaceful resistance, waiting for the west to turn its attention to Kosova, the KLA was formed and matters camme to a head. Now there is no going back and both sides have to find a way to live together. It seems to me from what I read that the Albanians are far more ready to do this than are the Serbs.I find the spitefulness of some of the Serb bloggers quite distasteful. As the EU extends its boundaries, I would hope that both Serbia and Kosova could ultimately be members in their own right and work together for a better Europe, both then being able to reap the benefits the EU distributes to its poorer members.

Amen to that,

When Kosovo is returned to its rightful owner (Serbs) you will see the true distasteful spirit of albanians shine through.

There is no going back - you have to move on and accept that. Kosova will not be "returned" to Serbia. It will become independant and this will be part of the ongoing break up of former Yugoslavia. Who "owns" Kosova from the past is now irrelevant - over the centuries wars have been fought and boundries have changed all over the world and this is yet another part of these continual changes.

By the way, I do discuss this with Albanian friends and find them to be very forward thinking and logical in their hopes for the future and acceptance of the past. They will live quite happily with Serb neighbours but would never return to the way things were prior to the war when the area was Serb governed and the human rights abuses were appalling.

Kosovo and the Islamic Threat

September 30, 2005: The worst thing about Kosovo is that there has been no progress in the last six years.

Violence and crime are common, and jobs are not (about two thirds of the workforce are unemployed.) The only big business is crime, with organized gangs heavily into smuggling, drugs, prostitution and whatever else will earn money. Islamic charities have set up religious schools, and are turning thousands of young Albanians into enthusiastic haters of all things Christian.

That's all BS. The same things Milosevic is using in his trial.
Are what you say above reasons to kill 7 month old babies and 2 year old children? Are those reason to unburry these children three times and burn them in industrial ovens in Serbia?

The Serbian church approved all of this.

Albanians do not hate christian cause by doing so they'd hate half of their family, they'd hate their own kind.

Its the oposite, Serbs hate every religion except for Serbs Orthodoxy. This is why you killed other slavs in Bosnia and Croatia.

Yeah, I guess those Bosians, Croats and albanians didn't murder any Serbs.

I wonder why the Croatian ascension talks for EU membership is on hold?

And why did the Kosovo and Metohija Premier Haradinaj step down from his elected position and visit the Hague?

Anonymous said...

If you start three wars in 10 years and kill our children do you expect us to watch you decimate our families.

Haradinaj has not been found guilty. He is enjoying his time in his home in Kosova.
On the other hand you have half of the Serbian government and half of the Serb generals spending jail time in Hague.

Croatia's EU membership is not on hold, it started. EU realizes its not fair using Croatia to pull Serbia closer to civilization and further from barbarism.

You stand on your own Serbs.

P.S.
Albanians are the most religion tolerant nation on the planet. Catholics, Muslims, Jews, Orthodox (Albanian of course) and Catholic Croats/Muslim Bosniacs all under the same roof, without ever having any problems. Only in Kosovo.

Why arn't Serbs in that list? They don't want to be. Their anti-social behaivour brings about conflict, they bring about hate, racism (clearly you can notice that from reading posts by Serbs).

Albanci na Kosovu zasluzili su nezavisnost, Hrvatska je u punoj podrsci za vas.

Why than have all the Croat, Bosniak, Roma and Turk minorities moved out of Kosovo and Metohija to Serbia?

Anonymous said...

I really doubt that coming from a Serb. Let the Croat guy living in Prishtina tell us about the situtation of Croats. In his other post he was saying that things were pretty good between Croats and Albanians.

Nobody made the Serbs representatives of th Turkish, Croats, Roma or Bosnians. They can talk themselves. If you have any problems you talk about the problems Serbs have. Thats where your concerns end. The others can talk about themselves

The serbs of kosovo have it much worse now than the albanians did under milosevich. the kla killed children, both albanian and serb. there are no 'innocents' in these groups. to deny this is to deny truth. wake up albanians. your hands are covered with the blood of serbs and your own.

BS. This is exactly what Tadic siad last week and the a$$ above is buying it.
Kosovo is governed by the UN. They are in charge of the police and the army. Now if what you say is true then the UN has killed Serb children, and Serb civilians. The UN under direct orders has also raped pregnant women. It has also cut open the wombs of pregnant women and boiled the fetus. It has ethnicaly cleansed about 1.5 million Serbs from Kosova ( Ooops there never where 1.5 million Serbs in Kosova) The numbers of Serb Killed by the UN are around 10 thousand. Then there are those that disseapeared after the UN commited the crimes, around 3 thousand of them. Then there are those that the UN burned in industrial ovens. Then there are those that UN secretly transpored to Albania and burried them there. It is now returning those burried there with a rate of 0.001 per month. All these happened under direct orders from the UN, from Koffi Annan and Petersen. Now that makes it equal with what Albanians had it during Milosevic. To make it worse now the UN are using the bodies of the thousand of the Serbs they killed to produce soaps and their hair they're using to produce blankets.

Any person who has two grams of brains left uninfected by the Serb propaganda knows that claiming that Serb have it worse under the UN than Kosovars under Milosevic is an idiocy but also a political gaffe on the part of Tadic who hopes to persuade the very same UN to return Kosova to Serbia.

The International Community has already admitted that the Serb and other "non-albanian" minorities have been leaving Kosovo because of raced based violence committed against them by the ethnic albanians.

"To make it worse now the UN are using the bodies of the thousand of the Serbs they killed to produce soaps and their hair they're using to produce blankets."

Is that what albanians use to bathe, that explains the stench.

Anonymous said...

Yes the UN sells us those soaps and blankets. What can we do not only the Serbs suck as people but they're of no use as soaps also. The UN should stop the production of these low quality soaps.

Anonymous said...

you albanians sound just like your world war 2 nazi allies. it is disgusting.

Really read the post of your compatriots, they're the ones comparing the UN with Milosevic.

Shame, shame.
