has anyone addressed the issue of the already partitioned regions of Kosova that have been attached to serbia and montenegro?

Kosova was 25% larger a century ago!

why doom those albanians to probably genocidal captivity?

Excellent point on Kosova. Albanians were ethnically cleansed from Nis and Vranje 125 years ago when the Serbs expanded their kingdom into that area. Presevo is still majority Albanian, but is now part of Serbia instead of Kosova.

The saddest thing is that Kosovo has been partitioned even further. Regardless of wether or not in becomes Sovreign, north Mitrovica is almost purely ethnic Serb, and just as Serbs cant go to Albanian population centers, so too the Albanians are not allowed in the Serb enclaves scattered around Kosovo.
And why should Kosovo not be allowed to unify with Albania. Was not East and West Germany unified?
Why should a people that speaks the same language, shares the same name and holds the same blood be separated by borders imposed by Russia and France 93 years ago?

I do not believe that these comments are really from someone who cares about Kosovo or Kosova, but someone who is interested in inciting ethnic unrest and tension.

Please join the modern world where there is a distinction between nations and states, where borders are not and can never be identical with ethnic populations, and where multi-ethnic states are the norm.

after suffering a century of genocide, it is reasonable for Albanians to be wary of continued Serbia incursions into Kosova...

captive non-Serbian-orthodox minorities included in Serbia live at risk of future genocide...

this is historical fact...

during that unfortunate episode where Albanians went berserk because of reports of the murder of two albanian boys by Serbs, Hungarians on the other side of Serbia in Vojvodina were assaulted by Serbs...

as some sort of twisted repayment for what Albanians were doing in Kosova hundreds of miles away!

It would be nice if we could expect the Serbs to live up to European expectations, but history has proven repeatedly that they do not!

Will they start if we ignore their misdeeds?

particularly when they have voiced no remorse...

From the death of Tito on, Serbs were brainwashed into believing they had the duty to attack their neighbors...

It is not obvious they have stopped these beliefs!
