German minister urges all sides to take "forward move" on Kosovo status

Durres, 5 April: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Joschka Fischer urged Tuesday (5 April) in Durres "all parties to play a constructive role for the issue of Kosova (Kosovo)." Minister Fischer, who attended the informal meeting of the foreign ministers of some Balkan countries, emphasized, "Germany will encourage the dialogue in this part of the region, will encourage the spirit of tolerance and compromise."

"We should take a forward move for the status of Kosova and the fulfilment of standards," Minister Fischer declared.

Attending the informal gathering were Foreign Ministers of Albania, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Hercegovina and Serbia-Montenegro, respectively Kastriot Islami, Kolina Grabar-Kitarovic, Ilenka Mitreva, Mladen Ivanic, and Vuk Draskovic.
