EU High Representative [for Common Foreign and Security Policy] Javier Solana will visit Kosovo on Tuesday 15 March, his office said this evening.
According to the statement, Solana is due to meet Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova and other [ethnic] Albanian political leaders, as well as Kosovo Serb political leaders.
He will hold talks with UN civilian administration chief Soeren Jessen-Petersen and Kfor [NATO-led Kosovo Force] commander Yves de Kermabon.
The statement says that the progress achieved so far has to be continued, as the international community will consider and assess the standards attained in the middle of the year.
