Prishtina [Pristina], 9 October: Kosova [Kosovo] Prime Minister Agim Ceku said that some forces in Belgrade are playing a game by using the parliamentary elections and the referendum on the constitution in order to discredit the mandate of President [UN envoy] Ahtisaari, catalyze the divergences within the international community, degrade the status talks, and finally destabilize Kosova.

During his weekly address to the citizens of Kosova, Prime Minister Ceku called on Serbia to be more realistic and to accept the current reality in Kosova.

"Serbia must be more realistic and accept the fact that only the independence can help Kosova's democratization," said Ceku, adding that Serbia must give up on Kosova and concentrate on the internal problems that concern citizens of this country, and this way help themselves on the integration towards Europe.

The head of the Kosovar government among other things said that no one must show signs of weakness during these important moments that Kosova is passing.

Prime Minister Ceku announced that, at the invitation of the British government, he will visit London during this week assuring the citizens of Kosova that he will make clear to British officials their will for the finalization of the independence of Kosova within this year.

Prime Minister Ceku also said that institutions of Kosova together with the international factor are working towards the building of multi-ethnic and democratic society in peace with itself and neighbours, and that offers equal possibilities for all those who are led by the rule of law.

According to Ceku, in this respect the government has the support of the whole civilized world. He called on the media to help in expanding the values that are being built in Kosova.
