What has happenned at their camp is totally disgraceful and all they got was only words for many years. This is Kosova's real test of caring for its citizens.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736921.post-1139233844575118242006-02-06T08:50:00.000-05:002006-02-06T08:50:00.000-05:00It's obvious that Kosova’s institutions need to do...It's obvious that Kosova’s institutions need to do something for this families. I don’t like words “roms” or anything like this. First they are peoples and second Kosova’s institutions didn’t let them like this ‘cuse they are roms. As I know institutions asked them to move to French camp until they will build one building for them but they refused to move there. Keep in mind: if they don’t want to cooperate then is their fault if their children become sick. It’s not time to become rich so they should think for their health and should try to cooperate with institutions about this.

Hope soon they will have their homes… I will keep fingers crossed for them…..

And something for “Republic_of_Kosova”- Go and change this name, Kosova never been republic and will never be republic. Kosova will be one independent state forever…Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736921.post-1139207125199416042006-02-06T01:25:00.000-05:002006-02-06T01:25:00.000-05:00The Roma question, above all, is a human right iss...The Roma question, above all, is a human right issue.

Despite the fact that a certain portion of the Roma population have partaked in the oppression of Kosova's Albanian majority, I believe that this is not an excuse for not doing our utmost to help out the displaced Roma population.

As a Kosovar Albanian, I think that reintegration of the Roma is a moral issue and a test of democracy which we must pass if we are to join the major European and World bodies.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736921.post-1139173369381397482006-02-05T16:02:00.000-05:002006-02-05T16:02:00.000-05:00This is definitely shameful for UNMIK and KFOR and...This is definitely shameful for UNMIK and KFOR and also for the Kosovar institutions for not dealing with this problem until now.
It is completely inhumane to let these people live like that. As an albanian, I am sorry and ashamed for all of us letting this happen in the first place.
We all know that many or most of the Romas sided with the Serbian army/police/paramilitaries during the occupation and war, but that doesn't justify the suffering of the innocent ones, especially children.
I deeply hope that this problem will be addressed urgently and settled in a satisfactory and humane manner very soon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
